I’d imagine it would be hard to insure for anon guests….would be a dupe of AirBNB with just a crypto payment processor I’d imagine

Is insurance baked into airbnb or is in privately insured by the resident. I have no idea of the underbelly of that business.

This type of business doesn't make sense unless you go super localized.

It would have to launch on a country that has either of the following criteria: 1) Super crypto and nomad friendly. 2) Imposssible to receive dollars or international payments due to 'sanctions' (venezuela,cuba,iran,etc) 3) Very expensive to receive foreign currency due to central bank capital controls (Argentina, etc..)

Some combination of those would increase the probability of success for a crypto airbnb. Trying to launch globally or on crypto unfriendly countries already failed and has proven to be a failed idea

If you want to rehash it really think about hyper localization.

Just go to buenos aires and start there perhaps 😂 even as a tourist it sucks to use airbnb because you know you are paying double using the 'official rate'. The hack is that people use facebook marketplace. The middle ground would be to launch some crypto airbnb.

That would be amazing, full automated like lockers at theme parks and shit. Come in find an available unit, Connect wallet, select time frame, create code, submit TX, then units open and you’re code is active… end of term if you don’t get your shit out.. it’s locks it up,code goes inactive and you’d have to pay a fee to get it out, or past a certain time it becomes property of storage company.
