Circulating supply is not guaranteed on ergo to that much further on an extent than bitcoin. For example if 10m coins were lost in one UTXO it would take hundreds of years to recirculate. But still better in that regard and better for miners

Probably a feature, in that case, because you'd both have deflationary effects from the removal AND you would have effectively created a reemission box to provide a baseline store rent that all the additional rent would add to. But, yeah the low free and 4 year timeline could reduce the effective circulation for long periods.
