It’s a tough nut to manage for sure. Wouldn’t want it to end up like /r/crypto on Reddit.

Ideally the easiest initial start would be grouping projects who wanted in and then using it to promote (with a new tweet) their own tweets and messages. Content will write itsself to start. Then it can morph later.
