of course you can do degenerate things on ergo but i just dont think its worth promoting, will harm reputation if / when people rug. and also degen finance is really a bull market activity, during bear market it could have extremely detrimental effect to native coin price.

CDs make money by lending out the underlying asset. I suppose you could formulate a version of this that would work like a futures market, but this is not what we are talking about at the moment.
