10/13/2025, 6:04 AMedr monitor), Elementary marks that alert as "sent" in its internal tables. If you run edr monitor again without any new test failures or changes, the same alert will not be sent again to avoid spamming your Slack channel. Instead, you'll see log messages like Update skipped alerts, which simply means there are no new alerts to send—any previously sent alerts are being skipped intentionally. This mechanism ensures that each alert is only sent once per issue, unless a new failure or event occurs. If you want to receive alerts again, you need to trigger new test failures or other alert-worthy events in your dbt runs before running edr monitor again. 10/13/2025, 6:09 AM--group-alerts-threshold flag in Elementary controls how many alerts must be generated before they are grouped into a single summary alert, rather than sending each alert individually. This helps reduce noise in your Slack (or other) channels by batching alerts when there are many at once. Example: If you run: edr monitor --group-alerts-threshold 5 Elementary will only group alerts into a single message if there are 5 or more alerts to send. If there are fewer than 5, each alert will be sent as an individual message. If you want to avoid grouping entirely and receive every alert separately, you can set a very high threshold or avoid using this flag. This feature is useful for managing alert volume, especially during large test runs or when many issues occur at once. By default, there is a threshold of 20 alerts for grouping, but you can configure it to your needs with this flag [see documentation](https://docs.elementary-data.com/oss/guides/alerts/alerts-configuration#alerts-cli-flags) and [Slack discussion](https://slack.com/archives/C02CTC89LAX/p1741623108619459).
