DataProduct

to represent the Data Mesh notion of a data product. First question is whether anyone else is already doing that for contribution to DataHub. The second question is, do you think this is valuable enough for us to contribute it to DataHub? cc: @colossal-sandwich-50049

We'd need to spec out the specifics, but I think the community would be eager to engage in a discussion around this.

Hi @mammoth-bear-12532 @big-carpet-38439 glad to hear it and work with you on fleshing out the requirements and design. Right now I’m having our UX designer mock up some screens based on some thoughts I have about it, and I’m trying to write down some details on requirements of what metadata would be needed for a Data Product. I have a lot of open questions. I will get this all written down and share it. What would be the best approach to share these requirements and questions?

@great-toddler-2251 - just reading this thread and very excited!! Could you include @creamy-thailand-75908, @aloof-author-52810 and @dry-zoo-35797 in any future discussions about adding the concept of data as a product to the core datahub platform? Of note: we’ve already extended the metamodel with a DataProduct entity along with a product registration & management experience.
