Hey team, what is container on UI? For database, it seems the same as schema. What else it can be? I am trying to found an item to classification my tables, to do easily filtering. Besides, tag, what else can I use? can I use container and define it by myself?

Hello beautiful Datahub community, we repeatedly have the requirement to add additional information to the nice column section. For now we have Description, Tags and Terms but there is often other relevant metadata (e.g. source system, data owner, accepted values…). I think an extension of this section is only possible by forking the project for now, is this right?

Hi all, I'm trying to view the lineage between Snowflake and Looker. In the UI I get all the metadata: snowflake datasets/ looker view / looker explore/ looker chart/ looker dashboard. Do you know if we can get the direct lineage between a looker view and a looker dashboard without viewing the explore and charts?

Hi all! I would like to ask the way on customizing the theme of datahub (eg setting up own logo). I had first building the project using ./gradlew build and then invoke the ./dev.sh command. I did try the following ways for setting up own theme but the changes do not reflect in the localhost. I am very new to Datahub so not sure if I have missed out any steps. Appreciate if someone can give some guidance on this. Many thanks!!

Hello. Trying to figure out where the AssertionResult.externalUrl is rendered in the Validation UI tab. I ran an example from examples/library/data_quality_mcpw_rest.py and while I can see the validation results, there is no link rendered for the externalUrl field of the result. Am I missing something? Or is it not implemented yet? Thanks!

Hi everybody! We recently got DH up and running in production using k8s/helm. I'm having some trouble editing the default password for the datahub user. I followed this and uploaded/mounted a new user.props with a new user, which I am able to log in with, but this didn't erase the default datahub user. I then updated the user.props to include a username of datahub, thinking this might overwrite the default credentials. This seems to create a new user with a datahub username, and also to preserve the old credentials. How can we remove the default username using helm? We can't really start using this on the internet until we are able to get rid of that default superuser password. Thanks!

Hi All - re the recent polly for discontinuing/deprecating markdown support in the description fields in the UI: We currently bulk add metadata to Datahub by importing CSVs containing metadata. We typically apply encapsulate text we put in the CSVs with mark down format/syntax so it is rendered in markdown format on the UI. if the decision to deprecate markdown support is made, will that mean that even if we format text in CSVs in markdown, it won't be displayed in markdown format in the UI?

Now that it seems like the browsepath are here to stay, i hope that containers are represented in the browsing landscape and not to only show up in "search mode". It is kind of weird to have datasets in browse but not its associated containers.

Hi All, Good day. I’m trying to ingest some data into my datahub instance. I have created a dataset which contains the special character ‘/’ in the name. The UI however considers ‘/’ as a delimiter and breaks it into a container and a dataset. Any suggestions on how I can bypass this. In the image below you can see in the browse path depicts a container CUSTOMER CREDIT::R and then a dataset 7_2::PAYMENT but I intend to create a dataset with the name CUSTOMER CREDIT::R /7_2::PAYMENT Slack Conversation
