I have been checking out DataHub the last couple of days and evaluating whether it could be a nice alternative to commercial solutions like Collibra, Alation ... One of the things I wanted to understand, is how we could mirror Collibra's workflow functionality. For example, in Collibra it is possible to add a button to the UI which when clicked triggers custom Groovy code that for example give the email addresses of all Owners that have a downstream asset (multiple levels deep) for a certain data asset. This way, upstream changes could be communicated to downstream data assets. How could we accomplish this with DataHub you think? I understand we just query the DataHub API, but how to add this button in the React UI? Thanks for your thoughts 🙏

Hi all! Does anyone know if we can get google group info from Google OIDC? Currently I am having users sign in via google, so their profiles are ingested into DataHub one-by-one. But there’s no

Is there any sizing guidelines for deployment? e.g. KAFKA and other dependencies? And differences between options: when do I need KAFKA, when Neo4J or Elastic? Any recommendations for a "evaluation" sized setup

Hello all! I've been playing with Datahub today to see if could be a good fit for my company. I could get up and running with the Docker setup - and I could ingest our tables from Athena and Glue, very nice experience overall! Now a newbie question: I can see the Athena tables in the UI, but how do I set up Upstreams and Downstreams for each of the tables, in order to produce the lineage graph? I browsed the docs and could not find anything, but I might be blind 🙈 In fact, how do I set up Upstreams and Downstreams even across eterogeneous entities? For example, in the tutorial data I can see a Kafka message linked to HDFS datasets linked to Airflow jobs. Thank you!
