Hi everyone! I had a question for all writers/ editors here. Someone has approached me to edit a 2000 word article in the legal tech space. I've been working in this space for almost 2 years now. But I was looking to understand editing rates as a whole because I have done writing for the most part. So, this editing would be more on the lines of creativity and integrating the entire piece together. The entire substance of the article has already been written but I need to review it, edit certain parts and integrate one section with the other for flow, and do a little bit of story telling because the topic can get boring. So what do you think I could charge for something like this? Also, I'll have to create around 3 to 4 LinkedIn posts out of this as a way to hype the piece. What's the best way to price this? Thanks in advance :) Note: this is not a one-off thing. There'll be a consistent flow of a couple of articles per month

Here's a pricing strategy that might help: • What's your hourly rate? • How long will it take you to do this edit + social media posts? • ^ that should give you a flat rate and you can add 30% for taxes hope that helps! at the end of the day you just want to make sure you feel you're being paid your worth. And as a woman I think it's good to aim a little higher rather than playing it safe.

No problem! Also I heard something once like if people aren't objecting to your price you aren't charging high enough. So I think a little objection is good! And you can always come down a bit if you want to keep the client and feel it's fair.
