Hi all! Looking for some career advice/recommendations ๐Ÿ™ I've been in digital marketing (mostly remote) since 2015, covering everything from SM, performance campaigns, LP creation, lead gen, etc. But I've hit a career path crisis as I realized some of my natural (more extravert skills) are not being used โ€“ leadership, connecting with people, managing projects, being result-orientated, not being stuck in repetitive tasks/routine. So I'm trying to discover the positions or job descriptions that would be in the interaction of an introverted 'working on my own' style and the extrovert marketing side. I hope it makes any sense ๐Ÿ˜ƒ I would really appreciate any tips โค๏ธ

Iโ€™m not clear how you could work on your own and be a leader. There are plenty of introverted leaders, but they donโ€™t work solo that I know of. Maybe you could go into training or events, which often allow a good deal of solo work and project management, and allow you to interact with plenty of folks. Those usually arenโ€™t leadership roles, though.

Hi Maggie! Thanks a lot for the feedback ๐Ÿ™‚ By leadership I rather meant that I'm a natural leader not that it has to be a leadership position. Hope it makes sense

If you enjoy diversity in your day-to-day, managing/leading projects, autonomy, connecting with a diverse mix of people, achieving results, being self-motivated/driven... Have you thought about going freelance? Starting my own business has allowed me to really play to my strengths (some of which massively overlap with yours!) and I've found it to be incredibly rewarding in so many ways. Happy to chat more if you need!

If you're into exploring freelance work, you might want to also talk with folks in your location about how they've pitched themselves, because I think you're not in the U.S., given your time zone. Freelancing as an American can involve privileges that aren't necessarily available to folks abroad, if you end up pitching to say U.S. companies. There also can be things to look out for, involving getting paid, not being taken advantage of, etc.
