As someone trying to do our bit in content meets AI space - I think this is spot on! And here's the summary with OUR take:- 1️⃣ AI WILL DOMINATE SIMPLE SEO CONTENT: by "simple" the author here means small-ish. While the sheath (when it comes to long, nuanced content) will be in human's hands - AI is making a dent here too! This requires a sophisticated workflow (https://hi.switchy.io/96SW) 2️⃣ GOOGLE WILL DO VERY LITTLE TO COUNTER IT: The whole point is - if the article is "good" - why should Google bother about who wrote it? Whatever Google's position about AI-generated content is - it's going to be secondary to the quality of the content. 3️⃣ NON-SEO CONTENT WILL MATTER MORE: Great content need not be "just" for SEO's sake. As Twitter, LinkedIn, etc become important for information consumption - "thought leadership" style content will matter more! The AI can help to research, & create drafts of such content 4️⃣ THE PROVENANCE OF WRITING WILL BECOME MORE IMPORTANT: If an article generated by AI is accurate and helpful, does it matter that it’s AI-generated? Yes - because the ethical & statutory responsibility should still lie with a human author. 5️⃣ AI WRITING TOOLS WILL “LAND-AND-EXPAND” IN MOST ORGANIZATIONS: The AI 'writing" should be seen as more than writing, and more like - as the author aptly puts - as sparring partners! 6️⃣ WE WILL ALL BECOME STRATEGISTS: and ain't that fun? Humans create when they are not inundated with mundane tasks & have their thinking cap on. That's why the Luddites have been proven wrong, and markets have prevailed (disclosure: the philosophizing here was done by the AI)!
