I have a question on how to handle a situation with a client. We got off to a good and productive start earlier this year and agreed on the scope of a project to be completed in May. There were some delays on their end, and they left me hanging a lot. Now they want to close out the project without completing it. We only did about 2/3 of what we agreed upon, and if we stop now, I'll be out $1,000. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Advice or thoughts on what to do?

hmm. seems like you should at least be owed 2/3 of the total agreed upon

I did get paid that. But I'm wondering if I have grounds to at least attempt to get them to finish out the rest of what we agreed on.

if it’s written into the contract that that is the scope, then they should complete it out. if it’s not in the contract, then you’re SOL for this one but can learn for the next. I once didn’t protect myself in my contract from this and lost out of $5k. That one really hurt.
