Hi, everyone. I'd love to have your suggestions for b2b advertising. I'm looking for advertising channels for a tech b2b vendor. I've tried the classic ones: Google, Bing, and LinkedIn, and plan to try Capterra and G2. Do you have any experience on b2b advertising? Which channels would you suggest? Thanks.

Hey Hayley, 2 charts for you that might be helpful. Unfortunately you've already tried the main b2b ad channels - it's hard to find product channel fit. Feel free to check out the guides on rightpercent.com, they are all on b2b advertising.

Have you tried LinkedIn ads? LinkedIn s actually very cool (but also more expensive) because you can target using job titles, job seniority, industry.

Hi Hayley, Have you tried paid ads in listicles (PPC)? It depends on the B2B niche you’re operating in but for our client portal we found a few websites focusing on agency related tools and are advertising in those.

What about placing ads in developer newsletters as I'm assuming you're marketing to developer personas? There are a ton that are really popular and they can be about really niche topics. Some also allow you to place content in them rather than just ads (which I think would perform better imo). Sometimes they'll put something in for free if it's relevant to the list and not just an advertorial. But some of the newsletters take paid content placements.
An example of what I'm talking about. There is one guy who runs a bunch of newsletters and runs a popular PHP newsletter but I'm not sure if it is connected to this one: https://www.phpweekly.com/
You might also want to look into Twitch as there are a lot of programming folks who live stream there who have a good audience of other developers. If Twitch lets you narrow down your focus enough in your ad spend that could help. And yes, seconding LinkedIn. Was experimenting with them versus Google ads at the last company I was in and they had a higher conversion rate and a lower cost per lead. We used a case study as the content linked to

I’ve had good success for B2B brands with LinkedIn ads targeting specific LI groups
