for live input streams, is there a limit to how many we can create?

for example if I'm creating a game where each room contains 4 players, would each room need 4 live input streams? if on webrtc it'll have 16 playback (4 per player), is that recommended?

seems fine to me, though id recommend signing up for the waitlist for Cloudflare Calls which might be more useful for a usecase like that

1 minute delay is normal? in RTMP

RTMP no HLS yes. how are you measuring the RTMP delay? by playing RTMP? or by watching HLS?

my test shows rtmp delay of 1.5 sec average, glass to glass

Hey, how can I make CloudFlare Stream bypass my CloudFlare access? I want to test some integration in our staging environment which is Access protected but need to send a video via URL to Stream which is also protected

thanks, calls seems to be for enterprise users though, I can't sign up with a normal gmail

I imagine this is only for requesting access to the closed beta. The field says work email, which should be an email address with a custom domain like @company.com. If that's what you're referring to?

yea the closed beta, I'll just try with the live input first

    is there a
    /cdn-cgi/
url for CF Stream that we can use instead of
    cloudflarestream.com
    ?

would be a nice feature though, especially with regards to CSP for our users. only having to add our service to their CSP instead of our service + some strange-looking CF Stream specific URLs

Upload via link will use whatever URL you provide, so if you can presign a URL(S3 or GCS both support this I believe) then it should work without issue. https://developers.cloudflare.com/stream/uploading-videos/upload-via-link/ We don't have a specific way to make exceptions in Access for Stream at the moment. There may be an access policy exception that you can make based on some other criteria but I'm less familiar with that area, might be worth asking in a zero-trust/access room. Depending on the storage provider you have your files behind, you could pass Stream a presigned URL rather than proxying through your own origin but that of course is completely dependent on how your system is architected.

Customer-owned delivery domains is something we absolutely want to do, its more about when we have bandwidth to execute on it.

As Eduard said, RTMP -> HLS having a >20s delay is typical. RTMP -> RTMP should have very low latency.

I see, was thinking about that but was also curious if there'd be a quick way to bypass Access for this case, but no prob 🙏

hi is there any way to define whip ingest bitrate? and did anyone succeed using OBS-webrtc with Whip
  • t

    tt2468

    01/25/2023, 4:52 PM
Bitrate is determined on the sender side
  • t

    tt2468

    01/25/2023, 4:52 PM
And yes, we are very close to merging WHIP support into OBS EDIT: I should clarify that "very close" is not like "this week", it's more like "probably this quarter", which is generally considered close for PRs like this.

that's amazing news because the benefit of the Webrtc product in terms of latency is very cool. do you know of any API or configuration that we can use on the client WHIP to force bitrate? what we see is a cap of 2.5mb
  • t

    tt2468

    01/26/2023, 3:04 AM
That depends entirely on what you're using to send WHIP
