I tried both chrome and firefox, no difference. Currently testing it on my mac instead of my linux (ubuntu)

Does anyone have a public WHEP stream that I can try to use to see if I can get my WHEP client working?

Do you know if ipv4 works now? Are you using simple-whip-client?

I'm using simple-whip-client yes. Not sure if ipv4 support has been fixed yet. I was using a tunnel from tunnelbroker, then got around to deploying real ipv6 so now I'm using that

Does Stream support custom domains for regular VOD? I've seen hints that it's only offered in the Enterprise plan, if at all.

@Marcel for 'custom domains', do you mean for delivering content instead of using one of our domains(ie, cloudflarestream.com); or something else?

Correct We need a way to monitor requests and implement custom network controls and Worker functions

Gotcha, at the moment we don't support custom delivery domains outside of very specific ent deals. I'm curious what network controls and logic in Workers you're looking to apply, if you can share(okay to DM me).

Can you do RTMP -> WebRTC? Or do you have to use WebRTC -> WebRTC?

Not at the moment, but it is in the plans: https://canary.discord.com/channels/595317990191398933/893253103695065128/1024502222039552123

WebRTC isn't going to have stable quality right?

It's just going to be like being on a zoom call?

@joshh quality should be more stable than you'd expect from peer-to-peer WebRTC. Granted, if there are any constraints on the broadcaster side(ie, bandwidth to send data or cpu to encode with) that could result in lower quality for the duration of the constraint. Are you seeing quality issues when trying us out?

Using RTMP -> HLS/Dash is 30 seconds, and since I'm working on a streaming platform that's not really going to work, which is why I'm super interested in WebRTC. I haven't tried it yet, I need to somehow get WebRTC playing in OBS via a plugin or something, since OBS doesn't support webrtc.

You'll be able to use obs-gst to send an output feed via whipsink

Once trickle ice support is added

We're hoping for trickle ICE to be shipped this quarter so @tt2468's recommendation sounds good to me. For now, if you wanted to try out RTMP -> HLS/DASH, we've been able to get latencies of 10-12s using 2s GOPs but that's starting to trade off playback stability for latency.

hmm, @/tt2468's suggestion seams the best. It wouldn't be hard for us to get that installed into user's OBS installs. I'll let ya'll know how it goes

not sure why anyone in the industry is still using RTMP btw, we need a new protocol. RTMP isn't really up-to-date and more so "works well enough" and "supported by everyone"

@Kyle_Cloudflare would you mind linking me to obs-gst? I can't find an official link in the docs.

I believe this is what @tt2468 was referring to https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/obs-gstreamer.696/ its not software we maintain so I can't officially vouch for it but getting gstreamer working with OBS is pretty powerful 🙂

if we use it, I'll definitely fork the Github repo and screen new code coming in, I wouldn't really trust this software to not have a supply chain attack or something lol.
