the reusing http/2 thing feels like an edge case rather than an intentional design choice, since they otherwise dont support http/2

it being able to reuse the main connection seems epic though

how does the metrics panel calculate storage, and where does it get data from? My "diverging size reporting" problem has now become 3 different values: - Storage summary shows 804 MB when set to last week, and 0 bytes when set to last 24 hours - The bucket size shows as 32.79 GB -
    aws s3 ls --summarize
    says 16 GB

that is even faster than it using r2 separately on the bucket

youll get that benefit with anything proxied within the same cloudflare zone

since its all the same IP

That is probably what is happing to Zebolte's website then, it's a subdomain of his zone

can't you bind multiple domains to the bucket
  • z

    Zeblote

    02/23/2023, 10:36 AM
so you could add a subdomain for testing

I cannot move our buckets back to the .com trivially

Like, for business/API/downstream customer reasons, not because Cloudflare is making it too hard

fwiw, static.brickadia.com and brickadia.com seem to use the same SN brickadia.com + *.brickadia.com certificate

    02/23/2023, 10:37 AM
which might be necessary for multiplexing http/2 requests across both of those hosts

put a nice redirect rule on the path it was previously lol

i mean maybe if one cert had SN with both the .io and the .com in it that would work, not 100% sure how to pull that off with CF though

    02/23/2023, 10:39 AM
They're not resolving to the same IP

ah yeah right, that's the first problem
  • a

    andrew

    02/23/2023, 10:40 AM
though there might be more (certificate) problems waiting even if that were resolved

not possible with cf managed certs, youd need custom certificate and Business plan on both which seems like a bit of a stretch

The actual solution is for R2 domains to support h2/h3, not to do weird tricks to get them into the same IP/zone

but who wants an actual solution when we can use weird hacks to do the same?
