Ha I'm not sure what you consider fast, but if it's too fast, I'd double-check if it's doing the right thing 😛

Have you tried using the S3 mode, but with the endpoint, access key id / secret substituted with ones generated by R2? https://developers.cloudflare.com/r2/api/s3/tokens/

we did try this (with Filezilla Pro) but it is not working, hence wanted to see if anything specific documentation is present. I will review our settings again

Is there a simple way to complete file uploads to a R2 Bucket without the need of rclone or something or the sort?

Will take a look at the docs for workers then, trying to avoid it as got most functionality already built in go

If it is in Go, then you can look for an S3-compatible Go library

I was using rclone mount and then my IP got null routed because apparently cloudflare was sending 19 gbps of traffic to my 10 gbps server

any way to avoid this? I am not sure how to control how fast the download? I thought I would be limited by my nic already

I think you'd have to contact your server provider for that - it's not really something that can be controlled on cloudflare's end

but what would they do either? I'm confused
  • s

    05/16/2023, 5:49 PM
They're the ones who null routed it, they'll likely be the only ones that can control it

Cloudflare will just send it as fast as the connection can transport it - there's not really any way of imposing a cap, and I don't know of any rclone options for it

Are you guys by any chance aware of an easier method to auto sync files from a github repo to R2 other than using Github actions (that's such a pain)?
