I have a nice hetzener vps/10 gbs, no issues that I’m hosting imgs for a project for (around 100-150k) although only 25-35k are pulled per day

Lemme ask you- if you can do things to make your image hosting almost like free, will you do it?

You can create a Rate Limiting rule to timeout clients that exceed a certain request rate. The optimal threshold and period depends on your application. Here's an example Rate Limiting rule that will timeout clients for 1 minute if they send more than 20 requests per minute to the Image Resizing endpoint (
    /cdn-cgi/image/
    ).

Rate Limiting is unmetered now. Free plan gets a single rule IIRC.

are there any other permissions required to apply an ingest rules on a cloudflare tunnel via the API? It seems to be adding it as a public hostname, but not as a route and im getting super confused.

Are you talking about editing a tunnel configuration via the API, and how it's not going to create the DNS Record for you?

Like it update the public hostname, but requests/DNS isn't being routed as it should if set through the API, works fine if set through the dashboard tho

    Yes exactly

    05/26/2023, 2:24 PM
Do you need to manually make a api request for dns?
  • c

    05/26/2023, 2:25 PM
yea.. it's not going to create the DNS Record for you. You can see what the dash does, it itself creates the dns record via the API as well

The dash: Checks if the DNS Record exists, POSTs to dns_record (it's just a proxied CNAME to your .cfargotunnel.com), and puts the updated configuration

i have o2o enabled on a few shopify sites, it works perfectly. I just proxied another shopify site and now XHR requests to shopify are failing with 400 error code "failed to read request body". is there anybody who has knowledge over it?
