Hey, @Mark Takata (Adobe). The marketing emails from Adobe have a doubly-broken unsubscribe system. The language is:
This is an advertising message from Adobe Inc., its affiliates, and agents ("Adobe"), 345 Park Avenue, San Jose, CA 95110 USA. If you prefer not to receive email like this from Adobe, click here to unsubscribe or send an email to unsubscribe-na@adobesystems.com. Alternatively, you may mail your unsubscribe request to:
The "click here" is linked to mailto:unsubscribe-na@adobesystems.com, as is the visible email address. The "click here" should be a link to an instant, web-based unsubscribe function (like on every other mailing list). Then, the kicker is that if you actually email unsubscribe-na@adobesystems.com, your email will bounce:

Leon, is this from an email you just received?
(I will contact the team that sends those to fix these issues, but need to know which mail they came from, as it might be one of several teams/contactors that is sending it.)
l
Yup. "All the tools you need to create an impressive web application!" is the subject.
It's about the 1-day workshop
But every marketing email I get from Adobe has this problem.
m
OK, sent the feedback to the main marketing team to figure out the issue. Sorry bout that.
s
FWIW, the one-click global unsubscribe has never worked for me, even before this email version. I was getting so many marketing emails from Adobe that I could not unsubscribe from that eventually created a rule to send all Adobe emails to junk & report them 😞
(this has been a problem with Adobe marketing dating back a decade at least at this point!)

Hey, @Mark Takata (Adobe). It looks like the email footer for "Adobe ColdFusion — Explore, Learn and Advance." now has an actual HTTP link instead of a
mailto
for the "click here to unsubscribe". So that's a step in the right direction. Unfortunately, when I click it, I see:
You are currently receiving Adobe email marketing communications as a**************s@2****e.com. Click the Submit button below to confirm your request.
That patten does not match my email address, so something is still amiss.
m
Oh goodness. OK, sorry Leon. I think I need to push this up a level.
