hey all, I'm looking for journey stories in your migration to Lucee
s
we migrated from ACF11 to Lucee in 2018, made one big jump from Windows + ACF to Docker + Linux + Commandbox + Lucee. It was an initial investment and a learning curve to go docker/commandbox but worth every second. probably switching to boxlang by the end of this year, not certain though. lucee 5 has been good

We migrated from CF9 (standard CF9 + IIS) to Lucee (using CommandBox + IIS) • They are on the same Windows server • We added CommandBox + Lucee and then tested our codes & apps on localhost, changed codes so they run fine on Lucee • We then configured IIS to talk to our CommandBox, and created testing sub-domain that run our apps with CommandBox+Lucee+IIS • We now have our apps running on CF9 & Lucee, both are accessible on public internet • We switched our production URLs from running the CF9 instance to Lucee instance (by some simple binding changes in IIS). Let it run for a few days to collect errors and user issues • We switched our production back to CF9 while we addressed those errors & issues we collected • Once all of the issues are fixed, we switch from CF9 to Lucee. Retire CF9 and other related services & codes

how do you currently update your code / and / or stack?

Gitlab builds a new Docker image for us on pushes to production, tests it, if it passes, it replaces the existing one
