How do I install the latest Java 11 Security Update for Lucee on a Windows Server? I have searched but haven't found step by step instructions. I've already downloaded the Microsoft version OpenJDK 11.0.22 LTS.  I just don't know what exactly to do with it now.

Did you ever find instructions for updating on Windows?

No, I never found instructions. I tried installing the entire Java update exe in Windows, but after restarting the server, Lucee still shows the old version.

You will need to update the Lucee config to look for the new Java location (I'm guessing).  By default, Lucee comes with and is configured to use it's own version of Java that comes with the installer.  If you installed Lucee that way (full installer).

Those all specify Oracle Java because the articles are old but it should work the same way with Open JDK or whatever.

I don't know if this is the "preferred" way with Lucee or not.  I am new to using Lucee as well and was wondering the same thing as you about how to update Java.

And here is another way where you replace the existing JDK (after backing it up) with the new JDK.  This way you don't need to worry about any environment variables
