Hi guys, sorry I have a beginner Lucee question, how do I get the logs of templates executed? I used to access them in the application.log however after my IT guy updated my Lucee the application log does not seem to have any data despite enabling the debugging options

In your situation I'd be saying to IT Guy... erm... you've done something wrong there... my logs ain't working any more. Fix pls.
As a first port of call it should be on them to fix what they broke; not you. That said, did you do a
find
on [the lucee dir] to verify if yer looking in the right place? Also: "updated my Lucee". In what way? This is important info for ppl to be able to answer your Qs.

I'd check you logging levels in Lucee admin - both at the server and web admin level. Is the application log on 'debug' or finer? liek here lucee/admin/web.cfm?action=server.logging i have found that sometimes those configured log levels get reset to something other than what I setup when I upgrade Lucee versions - like all set to 'info' - which would exclude template execution - which i think is at the debug level.

Oh shit yeah. There's that still-not-fixed bug in Lucee where it'll reset the min log level to ERROR sometimes. However I'd still expect the files to exist... just not be getting any log lines. But I really do think we need a clearer picture than "updated my Lucee" to comment sensibly rather than wild stabs in the dark, which is not a good use of anyone's time, I think. Except for me when I'm trying to dodge my next task @ work 😄

Actually for me it was the opposite. All my logs got flooded after one of the recent 5.4.x updates where everything got reset to info (I had it some on error) .. and my Papertrail bill went up $20 in one day I'd say Zach now owes me 2 beers - but since I owe him about 50 beers - i will let that one go 🙂
