Is there a tool that can check coldfusion - lucee compatabikity for migrating from CF to Lucee?
p
No, but you can simply spin up Commandbox and set it to use Lucee (does by default) and see how your codebase performs.

@mauzer if you are using CommandBox, you can run CodeChecker https://www.forgebox.io/view/commandbox-codechecker

Oh yea forgot about that tool

if you just want to check for Lucee compatibility, and then export the results to a file, you can run something like this:
codechecker run categories=LuceeMissingTags --verbose > c:\\dumps\\lucee.txt
update the path to taste 🙂
if you want to run it for everything, try this:
codechecker run --verbose > c:\\dumps\\all.txt
last time I tried it, there was an issue exporting to Excel, but dumping to a text file should work well enough
some of what you get are Ortus best practices, etc, so if you are mostly interested in Lucee, use the category. It probably wouldn't hurt to run the whole thing though to see what it mentions.
BTW, if you need spreadsheet and PDF support, there is a free
cfspreadsheet
extension for Lucee available, and a commercial
Ortus PDF Lucee Extension
that handles most ACF to Lucee issues. https://www.ortussolutions.com/products/ortuspdf

You're welcome. Be sure to check forgebox.io whenever you are looking for things. There is a lot of great stuff there. Good luck!

steer clear of the cfspreadsheet extension, if you can. it's unmaintained and has accumulated critical CVEs, iirc. the spreadsheet-cfml extension doesn't have the same vulnerabilities.
