Posted in #taffy and it was suggested that I might find more help here. Anyone ? ------------------------ Ok maybe this will be my last obstacle. I'm getting the 404 on Tomcat. I've read the docs and made the web.xml change but it didn't seem to have any impact. I'm in the process of moving my service from a hosted CF service to AWS EC2. IIS environment to Tomcat. In IIS I had a web.config that was rewriting the URLs. That's not going to help much now. The URLs for the resources work when I include index.cfm (ie /api/index.cfm/resource) but 404 when i use /api/resource. I wasn't clear if I needed to add the url-pattern>/myRide/index.cfm/*</url-pattern> to the existing <servlet-mapping> or create a new <servlet-mapping> but i've tried it both ways with a lucee restart in between and no difference. I was working with the web.xml in the \lucee\tomcat\conf director but I also tried making a new web.xml in the WEB-INF folder under ROOT and had no more luck there. Any thoughts about what I'm missing? EDIT: I should probably note that i'm running the latest Lucee 5.4.3.2 and the bundled Tomcat 9.0.78 on a fresh EC2 instance of Server 2022.

This is something urlrewrite needs to do. If you are not going to use a web server like IIS in front, you may use Tomcat rewrite valve, or consider running Lucee with CommandBox, where you can add server rules (that is how urlrewrites are called when running with CommandBox) to achieve that.

Thanks for your help. I was able to get urlrewrite to work. Between google and chatgpt and quite a bit of struggling i've learned something new
