The Manual Install instructions are atrociously bad. All I had to do was to download the hotfix jar and run it as root. I don’t know what all of that other stuff about unzipping and “the repository” and editing XML files was about.

That "other stuff" is for users running CF on a server that's not allowed to have direct outbound connections to the rest of the internet. Can't pull in the updated package files from the adobe repo, so have to create one on your machine and tell CF via the edited xml file where to look.

Yeah, that makes sense. I think there are actually three installation methods: 1. Online GUI install (which is broken) 2. CLI install (just run the jar) 3. Airgapped/Offline GUI install Right now, the instructions for option 2 are visually lumped in with option 3 and that makes it very confusing.

This makes more sense. Since the web install version doesn't work for me I always run the manual install, but wondered why I was updating the neo_updates.xml file. Seemed pointless. But I did it anyway just in case. Still ran into an issue on update 6 losing the administrator..

I left some feedback for Adobe on the page.
