03/20/2023, 12:41 PMManual install always for me (on Windows). Gui installer hasn't worked in years. See https://coldfusion.adobe.com/2016/05/applying-update-on-a-coldfusion-instance-running-with-a-non-admin-user/ and https://www.coretechnologies.com/products/ServiceSecurityEditor/ if you want to give it a shot maybe? I haven't tried it yet.
