Hello, Do we need a paid infrastructure account to get Stripe Payment option enabled if we are building a solution on top of Cal. Our use case: We want our platform users to have a booking system. The payments collected on their bookings will go in a platform escrow to be released later.

Hi there
You can set up payment options for your event type with our SaaS version as well. I am not sure about your case for the platform escrow. @zomars what do you think?

Hey Satnam, first off: wrong channel, likely #developers is better. Second: if you self-host and want to provide a commercial service, you’ll need the commercial license which includes stripe 🙏 cal.com/pricing?infra you can generate a license key in the console.cal.com

Will be purchasing commercial license but is there any dev environment where we can test before making any payment
p
sure, you can test it locally without a license
j
@Peer> Second: if you self-host and want to provide a commercial service, you’ll need the commercial license which includes stripe Hi, could you please clarify this? If you were self-hosting cal.com, which is licensed under the AGPL, there should be no restrictions on what you can do with the code—including using cal commercially—correct? https://github.com/calcom/cal.com/blob/main/LICENSE The README says that only if you want to keep the code and any changes you make to it private, you would need a commercial license. My understanding is that I don't need to purchase a commercial license to use cal.com commercially (or in any way I please), so long as I comply with the basic conditions of the AGPL—that is, to distribute the source (modified or otherwise) to any users if requested. Is there something I'm missing?
z
The stripe code has a different license
j
Gotcha. Is that the only code not covered by the AGPL (or other license that is classified as "open source" or "free software" by the OSI/FSF) in cal?
I assume commercially hosting it for someone else without using the stripe code would be fine.

hey @zomars @Satnam Singh is still having issues deploying. i don’t know if you would have time to hop on a quick call with them or not, but it would be helpful.
s
hey guys @Jayraj Kapadia and @Rishabh Agnihotri
s
@Satnam Singh I also just ended the invoice for your duplicate account, so you should be good to go on the admin end!
z
s
@zomars do we have any early slot it already late at our end and earliest I can see is calendar is after 2 hours
j
Hi @zomars, can we schedule a call at 7 AM IST?
z
Are you available now? I have a post for now
s
yes
z
Glad to help @Satnam Singh feel free to post any questions here 🙏
j
Hello @Sydney O, We are facing the issue with the account plan. Right now, its showing that your plan is expired but we have purchased the plan and it was showing also to you that its purchased twice so you have remove that duplicate one, correct? But right now its showing expired so can you please check at your end what happened to our account ? And we have already paid for 1 month and 1 month is not completed yet. Add that we are very close to our deadlines please fix this asap here is the register email - rony@doodeo.com Thanks!
s
@Sydney O please look into this.
s
@Satnam Singh I am looking into this, but from what I can see, no payments have been processed yet. you are on the free plan. @Peer can you see what’s going on with this?
z
Just to be clear, getting a paid license won't give you a PRO account in our
<http://cal.com|cal.com>
hosted version. This license is for you to enable our enterprise features on your self-hosted version. If the trial accounts that you're seeing are in your self-hosted instance, you need to update them from your own DB directly, and also it is recommended to change the default plan on
prisma.schema
according to your business needs.
s
@Sydney O as I can see this month bill is showing $189.00 and card is attached to my account on console.cal.com . But app.col.com showing me free plan, I am not sure how the things are working on your end screen shot attached. Please do the need full and let us now what required from our end. @zomars we are using self-hosted version only and we are able to update users account.
p
Hey @Satnam Singh ignore what app.cal.com is saying, thats your personal cal.com link and not your infrastructure plan
it’s like gmail.com vs google workspace
z
As @Peer said, you have a free
<http://cal.com|cal.com>
account. That's independent from your
<http://console.cal.com|console.cal.com>
infra plan.
s
@zomars I want to know if there is any support to implement Single-Sign-On for self hosted instance
p
yes we can help with that. whats the name of the company? can you DM me?
