Heyo! I'm a big fan of cal.com, thanks for your great work 😍 I'm struggling a little bit with something -- I cannot figure out how to get it to add meeting links to events automatically. Tried with Meet and with Zoom, and can't find a setting anywhere... Can someone guide me to the right place? 🙏
s
Hey there Shane! Did you get this ironed out?
s
Not yet 😞
s
@Milos or potentially @zomars can help! 🙂
z
Can you share you event type configuration screenshot?
m
Hi - same issue here. In Settings it says Cal will generate one, but location just says "Zoom"

@zomars

IIRC @Sean Brydon made a fix for this

I thought I did 😅 I'll take a look at this in the morning
@M could you possibly provide me with your username?
@Shane Neubauer can you also provide me with your cal.com username please?

Hey @Sean Brydon I fiddled around some more and it seems to work now (switched between Zoom and Meet and back to Zoom) -- I have no idea if this actually did anything, but my most recent events have a zoom link now 🤷

my username is

@M could you try disconnecting and connecting zoom again for me please - if the issue persists let me know
m
@Sean Brydon still get this
s
Can i double check that the meeting you are creating has been confirmed (e.g. not an opt in meeting) @M Just took a look at your profile - it looks like this is the case. There is currently a PR out for review to notify the user (On opt in meets) that the link will be generated when the meeting is confirmed. If you are still getting "where: Zoom" after the meeting has been confirmed please let me know and ill look into this further
m
Yes, this is from the confirmation email

@Sean Brydon any further insight you can share?
s
@M sorry for the late response - I've tried replicating this on my account and a brand new account and I don't seem to be experiencing the issue :/ @Emrysal did we get anywhere with testing this with multiple calendars ?
m
It says a link will be provided once the meeting is confirmed ...in the confirmation email
@Sean Brydon any update on this one?
s
@M were having real trouble trying to replicate this - so can't really test on our end :/ I'll take a look at your profile in the morning to see if anything looks wrong

@M This issue has now been fixed, there were two separate fixes here - one that prevented the Zoom URL from being created & another erroneously showing the "A meeting URL will be...".

@Emrysal @Sean Brydon @zomars I removed and re-added Zoom several times, still get this. Any suggestions?
