Intermittent issue where "Wait for User Input" accepts a message but subsequent cards (code blocks, transitions, AI Generate) never execute. ~1% of messages.
**Node structure**: AI Generate → Text card (SSE) → Wait for User Input → Code blocks → Transition
Working case:
Message received → Execute code → Transition → AI Generate → Sending Message → Waiting for user input → FINISHED
Failing case (same node, same conversation, next message):
Message received → Waiting for user input → SummaryAgent hooks → FINISHED
No code blocks, no transition, no AI Generate, no outgoing message.
Stack trace (failing):
Card: Main/What_is_Org_Goal/Wait for User Input [3 → 4] (1ms)
The card ran for 1ms — consumed the message but nothing downstream executed.
Key facts:
- Previous request finished 4 seconds before the failing message arrived
- Resending the exact same message seconds later works — full flow executes, no turn skipped
- This rules out message content or transition conditions — only timing differs
- Suggests a race condition where the card is active enough to accept the message but the downstream transition graph isn't wired yet
We work around it with a client-side retry (resend after 13s of silence), which resolves it every time.
