Heavy Incoming Messages & Events
# šŸ¤help

Hi, I have an urgent issue with one of my bots—it keeps asking me to increase the message quota in the add-ons. I’ve already spent $150 on the messages and events add-on. It doesn’t make sense; my bot doesn’t exceed 4,000 messages a month—it’s actually much less—yet I keep hitting the limit and have already spent $150. I don’t understand. I know for sure that I didn’t exceed 4,000 messages last month. I don’t know where I can view events to see what’s happening there, but this is way too much for a newly launched bot. I’d like to know if there’s an issue with the implementation or what’s going on—the costs are bleeding me dry. It’s telling me that one of my bots has over 55K Incoming Messages & Events last month. Please clarify what’s happening and what steps I can take. I’ve already received the message: ā€œYou have used 76% of your 77K limit for Incoming Messages & Events. To avoid service disruption, consider upgrading your plan or adding an add-on to increase your limit.ā€ Here’s part of my log that caught my attention due to its frequency:

@billowy-morning-42410
whats your website?
(do not log into your bot for now)
Are you embedding the bot in a different way?
An event gets triggered on every page load, sometimes for some sites, as soon as you change tabs, it refreshes creating another even.t After turning off the conversation start trigger, the events stopped

The bot is running within an internal web application, so users must log in first. Do you think the problem is the auto-response trigger? The bot is being used within a div element
