im trying to make the bot say a proactive greeting, right now the user has to click the chatbot icon AND send a msg only then the bot sends its first msg instead i want the bot to send its first msg when user just clicks the chatbot icon (no need for user to send a msg first) to do this i found i could sendEvent to custom trigger on webchat:opened closed triggered but none of these events are firing

sorry can you explain a bit more please, how would having a different trigger in the bot work if the problem is that clicking the chatbot icon on my webpage is not triggering any network requests

This is a special trigger , specifically made for that purpose (i.e. make the bot start the conversation) You don't have to write any external code

wooah, ok i added the trigger and connected it to the first node in my workflow and published, now when i click on the icon in my website, the trigger should receive the event in show latest events right
