There's been some issues with trying to build directly from a recipe. I would suggest building from one of your published images instead and see how that goes

I did as suggested, sudo ~/.cargo/bin/bluebuild generate-iso --iso-name aurora-dx-nvidia-nordvpn image ghcr.io/thoady/aurora-nvidia-nordvpn:latest my docker login was successful, yet here s what i get: g.i/j/build-container-installer:v1.4.0 => make[1]: Entering directory '/build-container-installer/container' g.i/j/build-container-installer:v1.4.0 => skopeo copy docker://ghcr.io/thoady/aurora-nvidia-nordvpn:latest oci:aurora-nvidia-nordvpn-latest g.i/j/build-container-installer:v1.4.0 => time="2025-12-09T14:47:30Z" level=fatal msg="initializing source docker://ghcr.io/thoady/aurora-nvidia-nordvpn:latest: unable to retrieve auth token: invalid username/password: unauthorized" g.i/j/build-container-installer:v1.4.0 => make[1]: * [Makefile:2: aurora-nvidia-nordvpn-latest] Error 1 g.i/j/build-container-installer:v1.4.0 => make[1]: Leaving directory '/build-container-installer/container' g.i/j/build-container-installer:v1.4.0 => make: * [Makefile:148: container/aurora-nvidia-nordvpn-latest] Error 2 ERROR => Failed: × Failed to create ISO
thanks for helping

I don't think this will work if you're trying to pull from a private registry. The ISO builder runs as a container created from [JasonN3](https://github.com/JasonN3/build-container-installer/) and we don't mount any credentials into the container

thanks it was indeed the issue 🙂
