Also, i was trying to use magic link authenticator with the WhatsApp authenticator but it doesn't work. testing the connector shows successes but no messages has been sent. i verified the phone and WhatsApp number at the business center and WhatsApp manager is working. It seems magic link with WhatsApp is broken.

Hi, I'm Descope's AI assistant. I've put together an initial response below based on your question. Magic Link + WhatsApp — Unsupported Combination Magic Link delivery via WhatsApp is not a supported delivery method in Descope. Magic Links can only be delivered via: • Email • SMS (text message) WhatsApp is only supported as a delivery channel for OTP (nOTP) — not for Magic Links. This is why the flow appears to succeed (no error is thrown) but no WhatsApp message is actually sent — the delivery method combination simply isn't supported. Recommended Alternatives • Use OTP via WhatsApp (nOTP) — If WhatsApp delivery is a requirement, switch the authenticator to OTP and configure WhatsApp as the delivery channel. • Use Magic Link via SMS — If Magic Link is a requirement, use SMS as the delivery method instead of WhatsApp. • Use Magic Link via Email — Deliver the magic link to the user's email address. In the case what's the use for the WhatsApp Cloud API connector? (not the chat)

The purpose of the WhatsApp Cloud API is to send the OTP and custom messages to the user with the below two options 1. Send OTP via WhatsApp Use it as the delivery channel for One-Time Password (OTP) authentication instead of SMS. This means when a user needs to verify their identity, the OTP code is sent to them via a WhatsApp message from your own WhatsApp Business number. How to set it up: • Go to Authentication Methods → One-time Password • Select the WhatsApp Cloud API connector as the delivery connector • Optionally customize the OTP message template 2. Send Custom WhatsApp Messages in Flows Use it as a connector step inside a flow to send any custom WhatsApp message at any point during authentication — not just OTPs. For example, you could send a welcome message, a notification, or any other custom content to the user's WhatsApp after they sign up. How to set it up: In the Flow editor, click + → Connector → choose WhatsApp Cloud API • Configure the To field (e.g.,
{{user.phone}}
) and the message body

@Bhagwanta Yeole as i wrote, the regular OTP (or the magic link) doesn't work with it. when testing it says "Successfully sent SMS" but no WhatsApp message received

Where are you testing the message?
