We’re currently using descope in our mobile app built with Expo (React Native managed workflow). However, we know that the Descope React Native SDK does not support Expo. We are currently using Rest calls for descope services. We would like to enable *SSO i*n our Expo app. Could you please advise on the recommended approach in this case? Specifically: Is there a way to implement SSO using Descope without ejecting from Expo? Are there any official or recommended workarounds for Expo-managed apps? We’d appreciate guidance on the best and most secure way to support SSO in this setup

Hi, Thanks for reaching out! You are correct that the Descope React Native SDK is not currently supported in Expo managed workflow, so the recommended approach for enabling SSO in your setup is to use Descope’s OIDC / OAuth flow via browser-based authentication, together with deep linking back into your app.
You can implement SSO in your Expo app without ejecting by using: Descope Hosted SSO / OIDC flow Expo’s
expo-auth-session
(or system browser) • Deep linking (
expo-linking
) for the redirect back to the app • Descope REST APIs to exchange the authorization code for a session This follows standard mobile OAuth best practices and is the approach we recommend for Expo-managed applications.

Thanks, can you also share some documentations for this

Absolutely — here are the relevant official documentation resources to help you implement SSO in your Expo app using Descope with browser-based OAuth / OIDC and deep linking.
