Just wanted to also mirror this here: I've stumbled about *mvdkleijn*'s PR for the integration of Gitea support and we've joined forces and are in the process of writing a new client to interface with Gitea. From the top of my head we should have implemented all functions but one and have tested them against a current Gitea installation. Martijn also has tested a subset of functionality against a Forgejo installation successfully. We still need to add more tests (which to be fair is not my strong side) and than we should be able to submit our PR.
