Continuing in slack for easy future reference/visibility:
I always send messages at the beginning of shift or before shift for you guys start for you to review as I'm going to be transitioning into school pick up at 2:52 and then often arrive to teach right after (Monday class beginning at 3:30). The procedure has always been to just check them once opening is done. Im aware you are in opening procedures and didn't ask for any ASAP response or follow up for a response during your opening windows. The only time I follow up is when I haven't gotten response for quite some time and the message also doesn't have a thumbs up, which signifies it may not have been seen
It doesn't appear that there was any notification regarding the make up classes though (explanation of the policy, day/time offers for the make up, how to schedule) in this text though. From reading the text it looks like we saw the missed call and called back versus checking the voicemail to see what they were calling regarding and responding to that specific inquiry.
Trying to narrow down if this is an example of needing to course correct making sure we always fully assist people with makeup info when they are saying they will miss a class or rather needing to clarify call returning/voicemail checking or simply a one slip up that doesn't normally happen
