Abbey's mom gets hers altered because they think MA is too big but SA too small. Not because ASI doesn't provide them with the proper sizing. I told her 3 years ago they could just buy instead of renting if she didn't like the fit of either option and get it tailored to her exact body/fit preferences if they wanted. But that the <A looked perfectly fine to me and that there are the two options that the costume comes in 🤷🏾♀️
And yea, we don't measure every single dancer individually like mission did. I did that for multiple years and it just resulted in most costumes not fitting and having us re-order so many things. We wasted money on the admin hours used for measurements, we wasted money on the overnight shipping for new costumes, and we wasted money on shipping back so many returns. A year ago I started sizing dancers how I saw them from winter show and we have had the least number of costume returns/reorders we've ever had. But yes, the costume fitting happens in person during class and then we change their size to something else in stock as needed. There is no pre-measurements, they are right about that. But they aren't necessarily. Our system is the equivalent of if you go shopping in the store: you pick what looks like it will fit, you try it on, and then ask the helpful person to get you a size up or down based on how that one fit. Same thing here.
We were discussing that XSA does not match up to LC, not the SA. The SAs can still be ordered as an option for if LCs are two small and they have to be sized up. But XSA can not be ordered as a replacement for LCs. Hope that makes sense
Can we add the SAs, MAs, LAs, and XLAs to cart and I will have those ready for Friday. It will literally not be any issue beyond them just trying on a size or 2? They likely need to just take a breath and understand that 1.) the first costume you try one may not be the size you take home and 2.) these are off rack costumes they are getting at an affordable price. That may mean it isn't a custom fit to your body, but that you'll need to pick between SA or MA because that's what's sold. And if you want to tailor it then you can, but that isn't a poor reflection upon ASI
I've had dancers wear an XLA and I don't think Ronan will need that size (sizing charts honestly are weird) but go ahead and have them all instock. I'll just return whatever we don't use
@Caleb Warren Do you want to email them anything to clarify what to expect come Friday so they aren't a problem for the front desk team? I don't engage with these specific parents so it's gonna have to be you on this one homie
