Here is my Rust port for AROS: github.com/jonx/rust-aros Then here is github.com/jonx/gpui-component-aros, the GPUI Component library and Zed (untested)github.com/jonx/zed-aros I ported those to port my rust file manager called Feraille to AROS as well. It's a work in progress but I'm getting there. Rust for AROS as well as GPUI are in good shape and can be used to develop new things. Feraille is still private but I'll open it soon. It works on Windows, Mac, Linux and now on Aros which makes me pretty happy.

This is pretty cool. I use Zed as my only editor these days, so having it running on AROS would be great. Any chance you will push your aarch64 changes to AROS soon?
And how complete is the Rust port?

I opened a small test PR 5 days ago for a smaller fix, but maybe I'll just open the whole thing directly on my side and then we can always work on merging once you tested. I'm on track for a public release by the end of the week.
Zed is still very far from anywhere, but GPUI and the related graphic components its using is very advanced. Porting Rust to a new platform is actually quite "easy" and in my case is less then 200 lines of code which gives us 90–95%, like everything a normal program touches works. What's left is corners like
fs
symlinks/`set_perm`/file-times. For Upstream-PR-ready, I'd say I'm at 80%.
And my
gpufx.library
just landed 💪
