If the goal is to expose an AMQP-compatible endpoint on the edge and forward all of those messages to a cloud-based Pulsar cluster, then I would recommend deploying a small, standalone Pulsar cluster on the edge, with the AoP protocol adapter enabled. Then you can use Pulsar’s built-in geo-replication as the store-and-forward technology.

As for bi-directional connectivity, what sort of messages do you need to send from the cloud to the edge? What protocol do you want to use for that? What is the reliability of the network between the cloud and these edge deployments?
