1. our product is not yet cloud or docker/helm based, is it possible VM based pinot deployment in production. Will VM based is stable in production?

Yes. We are used to deploy our installations using Docker/Kubernetes, but there is nothing in Pinot that relays on it.

for an on-prem deployment you'll need some s3 compatible storage for pinot's deep store

We have 3 rhel 9.1 os machine in production and we want to install Pinot .is it still required deep store configuration for physical machine which is situated in our company network.

If you don’t already have on-prem solution that’s s3 compatible I’d suggest taking a look at min.io

if we donot have deep storage. then how pinot manage to store bilions of records?is not possible without deep storage?
