Hi, I am using the pinot go client, Is there a way to create something resembling prepared statements either in go client or the broker rest api ? The jdbc client have support for prepared statement. does pinot broker support prepared statements?

Broker rest api doesn’t support it afaik

As there is support in jdbc client, the broker has internals to handle a prepared statements. right Would it be possible to extend it to the rest api? or is it limited to jdbc? Not very familiar with how various db engines process prepared statement, so I can be entirely wrong

what kind of features you are trying to leverage in jdbc prepare statement?

Prevent sql injection. Using string concat to create queries is not the best way but the only way (I think) to query via rest api.

The

prepared

statement support in is on JDBC driver side (it is not pushed down on Pinot broker). I think a client side sql builder would also do the job.
