Is it possible to perform a join in the Java datastream API without a window? I thought I had succeeded in the Table API by just writing a JOIN clause without a window clause. But the output of a join will only accept .window(). I’ve read the documentation and it seems like there’s a lot of join operations but TBH the documentation isn’t really that informative (e.g. “connect” “connects” two data streams, whatever that means). I want to join with a compacted Kafka topic that doesn’t have a ton of data and the whole thing can easily fit in memory. Is any type of join applicable for that type of use case? https://nightlies.apache.org/flink/flink-docs-release-1.15/docs/dev/datastream/operators/overview/
Some info here but not a lot of detail. Looking up coflatmap there’s not really any meaningful example information, it doesn’t seem obviously like a join https://stackoverflow.com/questions/72725118/how-to-join-two-streams-without-time-window-in-flink
