This looks very exciting: Write a (modular) monolith, deploy microservices - sounds like a win-win: https://twitter.com/kelseyhightower/status/1630995723956412420?s=20

I don’t understand the appeal. In comparison, https://dapr.io seems more intuitive and complete to me. It also has much better docs, examples, tooling, language sdks. Most importantly, it doesn’t tie you to one flavor of the cloud (I know google mentioned ‘other cloud’, surely that covers it 😁)

I wasn’t familiar with dapr, thanks!

I’ve seen their PHP sdk and was very impressed that it wasn’t a throw-away code to glue those ancient web-masters to this new modern platform. No, the code was very clean, modern, following latest conventions, etc

This is impressive! Clearly they take themselves seriously

Moduliths is a nice addition to the list of: microliths, macroservices, miniliths, etc

Not quite what you asked for, but you inspired me, so 🤷‍♂️ https://philosopherping.com/miniliths-and-macroservices

had a sudden emotional rush when you mentioned LAMP. oh those sweet moments when your project ‘made it’, you’re splitting your M to a separate box, but making sure it’s connecting over the internal 192.168.1.*, not eth0

but you left out the Modulith 🙂 J/K this is great!
@Rauan Mayemir back in the day we had actual network cards for each network... These days networks are all subnet and routing configs in EC2

I wanted to leave you an opening to comment about moduliths 🤪
