What are people using for internal unified search capabilities? I'm thinking indexing from Slack/Git[hub|lab]/GDrive/Basecamp, maybe also Salesforce/HubSpot/Other specialised tools. Bonus points if it provides the set as augmentation to an internal AI agent, and self hosting at <100 staff SaaS scale.

Yes, this is awesome!
I wanted to do something like this as a RAG example for Nile. Let me know if you want to collaborate (or maybe its too late...)
If you don't want to DIY it, my co-founder said good things about Glean. But I'm not sure they self-host.

I'm very deliberately unplugged on holiday this week, and we've been mad busy with Rockset being bought out by OpenAI, but this is my next interest project so I'll let you know when I can put time into it

I like Glean, but also heard about https://www.danswer.ai/ ... Anyone have any experience?

I've reached out to find out more about Glean. Having a look through Danswer's docs and videos, it seems more like search for documents, then selectively pull them into the context window for an LLM chat interface, which isn't quite what I'm looking for. I want someone out of core timezone to be able to find useful answers to questions based on Slack/Confluence/Basecamp/Gitlab/GDrive content without having to wait for the Product owner to wake up the next day. Or if there's a question from a customer it can be answered in context with that customer's account information and deployments without having to find the specific team member who usually works with them. I'm currently trialling https://www.eesel.ai/ locally, and it's really good at remembering where I saw something as a browser plugin. I might try their larger deployment next.
