I blogged a short guide to popular AI concepts, because I got a bit tired that reading a tweet requires a PhD. This is also the first part of a mini blog series about my adventures building AI Code Assistant with OpenAI, LangChain and pg_vector. Hopefully it will help you read every other AI thing that you run across... https://www.thenile.dev/blog/all-about-ai

Reading tonight, thanks so much!

That is an amazing glossary of terms!
The only thing I don’t see is “feature store”
g
Good point! I haven’t ran across these in a while! I will need to look into how they relate to everything else. Got any good sources?
g
TY!

I’m genuinely curious about how you and others describe them. I’ve never been able to come up with a clear way to differentiate a feature store from a fast database

Gwen—I found the description of Vector Search to be highly useful. Thank you!
Words like "function", "class" and "variable" will be close to each other in the vector space of a code embedding model, but not in a general english-language model.
That sentence helped me get a lot of it.

Oh, thank you 🙏
