I'm not yet sold on the notion that object stores make sense for OLTP use-cases.

05/04/2024, 2:46 PM@Colt McNealy the fetch speeds for a 1gb file from s3 or even better s3 express made me a believer. Also consider how heavily page cache is used on a Kafka (or any oltp data system). S3 storage is just a way to externalize storage and still use page cache for almost everything the same way we do already
