I am building a tool that helps product teams to collect and use feedback more effectively. After I experienced how hard it is to know what your users actually need and how to build something that will truly help them, I think there must be a better way. Good feedback mechanisms not only enable you to build the right thing, but listening to your users can form more meaningful connections. Users want a great product, and they also want to be heard. I am super curious to learn what experience others here have with user feedback! What methods, tools and channels do you use to get feedback from users? What works for you and what doesnt't? Do you have success with feedback widgets in the product? Do you reach out to users via email? Do regularly run surveys/interviews/NPS?

I can speak to my current startup (not sure if you target companies so early though). We are doing: • widget in app • personal emails to users based on specific on-boarding criteria • discord we get few responses in each, but they are all very valuable. at this stage, metrics like NPS or even surverys don't make sense for us. we ask things like: • Do you find our product useful? • Did you run into any issues? • We saw you did X but not Y yet, can you share a bit about why?

Thanks @Gwen Shapira 😊 That's super interesting! I am actually most interested in smaller teams and people just getting started. For big enterprises there are more existing solutions already. I am curious about the widget you mentioned. What kind of widget is it? Does it ask questions in a specific context? Is it a live chat widget? Do you feel like you are in touch with your users through the current channels? You feel like you know well what they need and what they hope your product solves for them? Do you have a sense of which features users are happy using and which areas you need to improve?
