Happy Friday 🥳 As you may have seen, my team and I are currently in the process of launching Nile. One of the things we thought long and hard about is how to approach the community of Nile users and contributors (and lurkers). We've decided to build the Nile community separately from the SaaS Developer community. By separating the communities, we can keep the SaaS Developer community vendor neutral and keep it open to every topic that SaaS developers care about. Nile's community will be the place for conversations about Nile and building applications on top of Nile. I hope this is fair and clear, but do let me know if you have concerns. Slack has served this community well, but they are very company oriented, while Discord is more community oriented: • Community guidelines built in. • No limit on # of messages for free account • Landing page with a link to join is built in • Customizable on-boarding process We are just starting, I'll keep you posted.

Discord feels more friendly and casual (it almost gives off "gamer" vibes), whereas Slack feels a bit more professional and formal to me. Is that roughly correct? Obviously, Slack is far from "Formal" (capital

Yeah, Slack is definitely less chaotic (and less gen-z I'd say). But this would be fine by me. The main issue is the missing community features.
