Hello! Here is a question related to using a cloud managed DB (AWS RDS Postgres) to host the Airbyte Jobs & Config databases. I’m currently am using the Airbyte managed versions of those DBs, but would like to start using a cloud hosted Postgres DB. Is there a way to migrate the Airbyte hosted Jobs Database/ Config Database to the cloud managed database without losing any existing Logs/ Config data?

Hi Frank, this is an excellent question. We don't have an automated/well documented process for this at this time, but here is how you could do it: - Export data from the internal Airbyte database. This is just an example for GCP, but I believe it'll work for AWS RDS as well: https://cloud.google.com/sql/docs/postgres/import-export/import-export-dmp - Setup your cloud managed DB - Use this doc to connect Airbyte to the new DB: https://docs.airbyte.com/operator-guides/configuring-airbyte-db#connecting-to-an-external-postgres-database You might need to recreate the connections, but will have all the jobs/configs data. Let me know if this helps!
