Hi @kapa.ai I am trying to upgrade my source-mongodb connector to version 2.0.4 (currently using 1.5.16), but when I do so from the airbyte webapp, I get this error in the pod:
sh: line 16: /pipes/stderr: Permission denied
My airbyte platform version is currently 0.47
k
I'm sorry, but the knowledge sources don't contain enough specific information to fully address your exact scenario (upgrading from 1.5.16 to 2.0.4 on Airbyte platform 0.47 with that specific pipe permission error). However, I can share what the knowledge sources do tell us: Two Separate Issues to Address 1. The /pipes/stderr: Permission denied Error This error (
sh: line 16: /pipes/stderr: Permission denied
) appears in the knowledge sources in the context of a broken connector image for
destination-clickhouse
, where a bad image was pushed without a version bump. The fix in that case was republishing the correct image. [ClickHouse issue] It's not clear from the knowledge sources whether this is a known issue specifically for
source-mongodb
v2.0.4 on platform 0.47. 2. Breaking Changes When Upgrading to 2.0.x More importantly, upgrading from 1.5.16 to 2.0.x involves a breaking change introduced in version 2.0.0. You must reconfigure your connector after upgrading: [Migration Guide] > Migration steps: > 1. After upgrading, edit your MongoDB source configuration > 2. Add your existing database to the new
databases
array field
(replacing the old single
database
field) > 3. Add any additional databases you want to sync > 4. Save the configuration and run a sync Additionally, version 2.0.2 introduced a fix specifically relevant to single-database setups: > "Only require a single database read permission when configured to sync a single database." [Changelog] Recommendations 1. Reconfigure your source after upgrading to use the new
databases
array field. 2. Consider upgrading to 2.0.7 (the latest version) rather than stopping at 2.0.4, as it includes several important fixes including permission-related improvements for CDC syncs. 3. For the
/pipes/stderr
error specifically, this may be related to your Airbyte platform version (0.47) being quite old. The knowledge sources don't explicitly confirm compatibility between platform 0.47 and connector 2.0.x. I'd recommend reaching out to Airbyte Support or the Airbyte Community Slack for help specific to your platform version and the pipe permission error. 👍 0 button 👎 0 button â„šī¸ Tip: Mention @kapa.ai in the thread for follow-ups or DM the app for 1-to-1 help.
